SUMMER HORSEBACK RIDING CAMPS
The Premier Horseback Riding Summer Camp in Texas for the Cypress, Waller, Brenham, and Hempstead areas!!
We are not a day care! We are a working cattle ranch teaching responsibility and horse care to our youth, all while riding horses and having fun. We ride horses and we work cattle - that's what we do.
Unlike many summer horse camps in the Houston, Cypress, Waller, and Hempstead areas, RSOA's Summer camp goal is not to entertain and babysit your children. No horse coloring books or movies, as provided at many horseback riding summer camps. We teach responsibility through horsemanship. Learning respect and ethics while horse back riding and caring for our horses, and cattle. The children are responsible for grooming, saddling, bridling, bathing, feeding and hoof care of the horse assigned to them!!!
How Are Our Summer Horse Camps Different
-
Saddle Time Children will spend several hours in the saddle learning to ride their horse. (Compared to 30 mins at many camps)
-
Our Facilities Ride your horse in 1 of 2 arenas. A covered arena with fans, no horseback riding around in circles in a small arena to the sound of city traffic. Our Summer Horse Camp is nestled amongst acres of pastures, with herds of cattle, a lake and streams.
-
Fun Comes First Teaching kids how to ride horses is our full time job. Our students spend their summer camp days ON HORSEBACK, and they will sort cattle on horseback, even if they have never ridden before.
-
Friday Funday Friday afternoon parents are invited to attend our Summer Camp Competition so they can see the progress their children have made.
-
Safety First Our low student to instructor ratio, combined with a unique blend of horses for all horseback riding skill levels has enabled us to achieve an excellent safety record. Each horseback riding student is evaluated directly by the summer camp director who considers their age, skill level, experience, confidence, and size to determining the appropriate horse.
-
Going Forward If your child wants to continue their horseback riding education we welcome your students to return to our Rosemary Ranch for continued lessons or join us at any of our monthly competitions in Texas.
